Hello Everyone, This is Satsunyan.

To think that I would be running a website and to think that it would even reach four years… this is unbelievable! I usually just go into a fandom and lose interest after 1 or 2 years… but with Seiyuuri being 4 years old… that means I’ve been a YuiKaori fan for 4 years (and a Bandori/Popipa fan for 2 years!) Ah… I hope things would continue like this from now on and moving forward. Thank you very much for supporting Seiyuuri, please take care of us in 2018 too!

To Rurei-chan, Thank you very much for always going along with whatever thing I want to do with the site. We are currently both drowning in Princess Principal (You) and BanG Dream! But we still work well together. I’ve said this before, and I will say it again, I’m really glad to have met you 4 years ago and make Seiyuuri together. Let’s have a wonderful 2018 as well! Also, of course, if you want to translate/release anything, don’t hesitate to tell me okay~

To Nick-kun, Thank you very much as well for being willing to work on things that we need help on, like Timing videos, or even typesetting manga. I know I’m very lazy, but I’m trying my best to not be anymore. For following me, and Ojitan, and Seiyuuri up until now, thank you so much!

To our new staff, nacatfan, and our new collaborators, Digiroko and Haxton Fale (from Bunny Scans), thank you very much for agreeing to work with Seiyuu! The year has only started, and I aim to be able to release a lot of things this year in regards to both BanG Dream and Revue Starlight as well as more yuri manga to dish out in the future. I really enjoy doing these things, and albeit I do not get paid to write/translate/post/tweet, just the idea that my words and work goes around (with proper credits please!) and convinces more people to become fans, that is worth all the time given to create things.

Hello, Rurei here!

I can’t believe that we actually turn 4. It feels like yesterday we just turned 3. I don’t know what to write so maybe I’ll just turn back to 2017 for a bit.

2017… Many things happened. Going to YuiKaori Live, where you couldn’t actually believe it was the last live before their hiatus. Since then I’ve been in a YuiKaori loss condition for months, while helping Onee-san with the Bandori projects (I’m sorry if I’m kinda slow-responded), throwing my unused money for yuri manga, and basically just…staring at my room’s ceiling. While I know that Yui-chan and Kaori-chan are doing their best on solo works, I really feel bad that for me it feels a bit off. Thanks to the JP fans who said it’s okay to feel like that and welcome me any time when I finally want to go to their concerts and events ;_;

Princess Principal has my biggest gratitude by making me to feel alive once more; I want to say this to the staff if I could. You see, it isn’t easy to make me to buy anime goods up to the Blu-rays, and since I couldn’t go to the events last year, at least I want to support them by buying the goods I could afford. The real event will be held on April 29^th, and they might or might not announce something. So until then, please support them by buying the Blu-Rays and DVDs, don’t forget to throw your money for the smartphone game as well! (Direct marketing).

Also thanks to PriPri, I’m currently having my eyes on Imamu a.k.a. Imamura Ayaka, who voiced Ange. This girl needs to appear more. Her voice and acting skill is nice, not to mention her, um, low budget radio program (lol). Sometimes I tweet about it so don’t hesitate to check it. This year, we have Kaori-chan’s solo debut so it seems we will be busy again! I’m looking forward to how it’ll be!

 

Onee-san, thanks for keeping up with this lazy Ojitan until now! please bear with me this year as well!

Ah, another year down. Last time I wrote one of these I was still exclusively neck deep in µ’s hell. Since then, I’ve been drowning in their kouhai in Bandori hell. I’m involved in more than just the grunt work of radio garden, now it includes the grunt work of scanlation. We began work on the Bandori 4koma, with the cutest artwork you’ll ever see. In the future, we’ll be continuing with Bandori things and expanding further into Revue Starlight. As always, we’ll be creating another gay-filled year for Seiyuuri.

YuiKaori’s new album “Bright Canary” has been released.

YuiKaori’s 3^rd album “Bright Canary”, according to Ogura Yui and Ishihara Kaori, is a workpiece that means To fly as high as a canary, for a brighter future. This album includes their summer 2014 guitar-rock song “Intro Situation,”, their January 2015 single “NEO SIGNALIFE,” that tells a strong message from its lyrics. An album with various songs worthy to be called a “next project” after their 1^st album, Puppy and their 2^nd album, Bunny. So how did they sing these new pieces that they called “YuiKaori’s Brand New Tunes?” We asked them about it.

Running on the ground, jumping from the ground, and then flying into the sky.

──The first album title which released in 2011 was “Puppy”, which means a small dog and the 2^nd album which released in 2013 titled “Bunny” = rabbit. And this time’s album is “Bright Canary”, it’s a canary.

Ogura Yui: We started from the image of puppies running around, and next was rabbits. It had the image of rabbits hopping around, so we came into discussions such as “What should we do next?” or “We want to fly even more, right?” and then, we came up to “Canaries are the birds with beautiful voices, isn’t it a perfect image for us?” thus, we put “Canary” on the title.

──But this time, you put “Bright” before it.

Ogura:  You’re right, if you came with “Puppy” and “Bunny”, of course it should be “Canary”, but…

──The euphony of “Puppy”, “Bunny”, and “Canary” also sounds nice, after all (laughs).

Ogura:  It’s just as you said (laughs) but now that both of us turned into our twenties, we had a concept of challenging things we haven’t tried until now, so while also following the flow up, we decided to add something new.

Ishihara Kaori: So we added “Bright”, to mean a promising future.

──After that, you selected the songs which are worth to be featured in “Bright Canary”?

Ishihara:  No, we didn’t. The songs selection and the title creation went together, right?

Ogura: Yes. Instead of us hearing everything first to choose, it was the Staff who chose them for us with the theme “YuiKaori’s Brand New Tunes” in mind. We were allowed to listen to the demo songs since all of them were fit into the theme; songs we’ve never had up to now, then we thought “Let’s add something else for ‘Canary.’” Just as what Carrie-san (Ishihara) said, the songs selection and the title creation progressed together.

──And then you lined up “YuiKaori’s Brand New Tunes” that evolved from your guitar rock summer single “Intro Situation” from last year, and this year’s summer single “Ring Ring Rainbow!!”

Ishihara: However, I was a bit anxious even since we started to make this album. We’ve been making this album with hope that everyone would see YuiKaori’s growth, which is different with the one they know in mind, but every time we record the new songs and received the completed songs, I started to feel like “Will it be okay?” or “Will everyone accept it?”… But because it’s an album, when you listen to it together with the songs from the singles, you could really feel our progress, or rather, it properly becomes a YuiKaori song, so to be honest, I felt a bit relieved (laughs).

Ogura: Ever since I got the demo songs, I also felt really anxious before listening to the completed songs, like “Will this song represent YuiKaori properly?”, but now that the satisfaction is bigger, I thought “Were we able to express a new thing which only our current self could do?”

──Certainly, you could say that even from the 1st song “Baisoku∞Love Straight”, you can feel the new representation, or rather, I was surprised by it. With the recent 4/4-beat dance rock, you only did extensive word plays. The things happened in the lyrics, such as getting late, forgetting things, sitting beside the boy you like during class in campus, being without no make-up, only that. No narratives and plots at all (laughs).

Ogura–Ishihara: Ahahahaha (laughs).

Ogura: But I thought that this song is the proof of the evolution of YuiKaori’s songs. Even while we have rock as the base, the way we play with the Chinese-like melody and ethnic melody popped on the way of the song is also new, but we also have “PUPPY LOVE!!” which was included in “Puppy”…

Ishihara: Or the song from a single that’s also in this album, “LUCKY DUCKY!!”…

Ogura: To some extent, we could say that this song is similar to our previous slapstick songs where we chattered and did word plays along the rhythm. For example, the part where we chase each other’s lines is certainly from “PUPPY LOVE!!”, I was surprised by the sound, but then it made me think “The slapstick, chatter song has finally come after a while, huh”.

Ishihara: Yeah. Even though we have something new, we also have the same things as before. Now that we have both sides, we were able to make this song our own song, it’s a great thing for YuiKaori, or so I thought.

Ogura Yui & Ishihara Kaori, thinking about their friendship once again

──Just as Ishihara-san said before, the new songs for this album actually have the roots from your previous discography. Starting from “Baisoku∞Love Straight” which has the strong novelty feels, to “Ring Ring Rainbow!!” which is about your relationships and determination towards the fans, it linked smoothly, and later on, and it continues to the lead track “Canaria”.

Ogura: This song is embarrassing!

──While the strings dramatically resounds, the two canary birds = the singing birds, in other words, it’s a song where you gently sing about your friendship, isn’t it? (laughs).

Ogura: Up until now, we didn’t have any songs where we need to sing in our own world, so I was surprised by it, and got a bit embarrassed. During the recording, I sang this song while imagining about my friends from school, the fans, or the friends of the fans. Because I thought “If I only think about Carrie-san while singing it, it’ll be very embarrassing, you know?” (laughs).

Ishihara: Ahahahaha (laughs). I also didn’t only think about myself when I sang it. If I sing it with only about Yui-chan and I in mind, I feel that this song would be a really personal song, which nobody could empathize it.

Ogura: Right? I might exaggerate it if I say that “We’ve been together in joys and sorrows” until we became the YuiKaori we are now, and were able to release three albums like this, but it’s a fact that many things had happened, and we reached up into our relationship like now. Once, I tried to put these feelings that sometimes appears inside of me into my singing, but if I imagine our episodes specifically, just as Carrie-san tried to explain, I thought that it’d be a world of a song where no one could get in to.

Ishihara: Though the reason why we didn’t stand close only to ourselves, it’s just as Yui-chan said before, because it’s embarrassing (laughs).

“Ishihara-san, you’re so easy to please.” “This, this isn’t me!!”

──Certainly, for you who have been together since middle school, and has already turned into adults now, you need some courage to confirm about your friendship and how deep your relationship is, right?

Ishihara: I’ll change the topic for a bit, but until recently, I couldn’t really grasp how to use the word “nikoichi”.

──With the meaning of ‘to combine the working parts of two or more broken machines to make one functioning machine’, it also means “We’re tied with a strong friendship like two people becoming one” wait, huh?

Ishihara: That’s right. My relationship with Yui-chan is something that’s beyond that word. I think it’s because I have this relationship with her that doesn’t need the label ‘friendship,’ anymore.

Ogura: Even without confirming it with words, Carrie-san being on my side, her existence has already become obvious, and we know about each other too much that I would think “Has she seen through me?” (laughs).

Ishihara: That’s why when we got the lyrics for “Canaria,” I felt that I’ve been seen through (laughs).

Ogura: But that’s why, there’s a meaning of why we need to sing and confirm our friendship and relationship now. I think that it’s only our current self who could sing out about how deep the relationship we’ve built and the friendship that one could feel because of the time that passed, from then until now.

──Not only that, your annual solo songs for YuiKaori’s albums are also recorded here. But they’re the opposite of the solo songs on “Puppy” and “Bunny”. Up until now, Ogura-san got the electric song, while Ishihara-san got to sing the guitar song, but…

Ogura: Ah, you’re right! (laughs)

Ishihara: I didn’t realize it at all! (laughs)

──Hahahaha (laughs). And then, on the electric dance music “Telephone Call” which Ishihara-san sings, there is this lyrics “Even though you coldly deal with me with ‘I’m busy’ or ‘I can’t’, but sometimes you come to me to be spoiled, that part of you is incredibly lovely”. If I should say it, Ishihara-san, you’re easy to please (laughs).

Ishihara: This main character isn’t me! (laughs)

Ogura: Ahahahaha (laughs).

The song I need to sing, and the song which is strange yet interesting

──So, is this main heroine, easy to sing?

Ishihara: It’s the type I haven’t able to get to sing up until now, so it was fun. You could say that singing while acting is interesting. But, this girl’s feelings, as Ishihara Kaori personally, I couldn’t understand her (laughs).

──You also said “What do you mean by ‘but sometimes you come to me to be spoiled, that part of you is incredibly lovely’!?” (laughs).

Ishihara: That’s why, contrarily, I was able to sing it fairly. If I were this kind of type,I think it’ll be the same with when I got “Canaria” lyrics, that it felt like I’ve been seen through and get embarrassed by it, but I was able to sing it in a different feeling from my own, I think it’s because of that I’m also working as a voice actor. Not only that, the songs I usually listen to are mostly dance music. I’ve been thinking of wanting to sing this kind of song for my solo, so I was really happy that it’s finally granted.

──On the other hand, Ogura-san’s solo song is “Liar Sheep”.

Ogura: I was worried about “How far I’d be immersed into this song’s world?” just before the recording…No, actually it’s until we were recording this song. It’s also because the key for this song is originally a bit high, and has a bit of a float-y feeling. I thought about it a lot, of how should I sing with a bit of soft vocal but with lyrics that has a strong message.

──It’s a bit of an ironic song where you need to act as “The boy who turns fresco”, “The boy who turns the globe”, “The old man who turns the clock”, they’re strange characters; you need to sing about the transition of time, and about no matter how many time has passed, there are people’s actions and ridiculous things which wouldn’t change, after all.

Ogura: So, I tried out various ways to sing it, but the finalization was in the condition where the key had been lowered to a half tone, so if I sing it with the current key, it’ll be a rock number which I could send the message properly; but the soft part from the original arrangement isn’t completely deleted. It became a song that can hype with the listener during a live, also a song which you could enjoy while wearing a headphone by yourself. I think it became a song that is strange yet interesting.

Although it’s embarrassing, we tried to act cool to aim for the “New World”

──Next, your song “New World” with an emo-loud type of tough sound with lyrics such as “I’ve been forgetting about important things, counting the stars, to keep running away, but I swore to myself”, “To only look ahead and cut through into my only future”, it’s a song with a strong message.

Ogura: The first time I listened to the demo song, I thought that “It’s really cool!” But after that I realized something, “By the way, this song, we’ll be the one who will sing it, right?”…

──Something like “Ah, it’s not good if only I enjoyed listening to it!” (laughs).

Ogura: Exactly (laughs). I’d say, that this song is a piece which you need to act cool to send the message, isn’t it? That’s why we need to act cool to sing it, and it’d be meaningless if it obviously sounds like “Somehow YuiKaori is acting cool”, I grabbed my head for a while because of that.

──You could finally find a cool voice style, while still being yourself, couldn’t you, Ogura-san? 

Ogura: But we have the adlib-like singing parts like “Oh no…” and “Oh, oh” in-between the verse and the bridge, I felt how interested I was during the beginning of the recording, who tried to act cool and sing the “Oh no…” and “Oh, oh” parts (laughs).

Ishihara: Ahahahaha (laughs).

──That “Oh no…” and “Oh, oh” were also cool, you know?

Ogura: In the end, I felt that I could properly act cool and sing the “Oh, oh”, but the first “Oh, oh” was really a hurdle (laughs). It’s a phrase that doesn’t usually come out from our songs after all.

Ishihara: Ah, but I think it’s the opposite for me. Because it’s the type of song that YuiKaori hasn’t been able to sing up until now, so it might be misleading, but it was near to when I sing my favorite musician’s songs at the karaoke, or something like that. While thinking of “It’s a bit difficult, but it’s a cool song~”, I was able to have fun by acting cool and singing it, and I was able to say “Oh, oh” in a high spirit (laughs). And maybe this isn’t a strong word so far, because recently we have sung “From now on, too, we’ll go forward together with everyone” in “NEO SIGNALIFE” and “Ring Ring Rainbow!!”

Ogura: That’s right. That’s why in the end we were able to sing the “Oh, oh” part.

The album making that didn’t end at the finale

──Amongst the new songs, was “New World” the most troubling song to record?

Ogura: No, it’s the last song “Billion-Carat”, isn’t it?

Ishihara: Yeah.

──Certainly, it’s not a “J-POP that adopted Electro Dance Music’s technique” or “Dubstep-like J-POP ”, nor the cool dance music; it has intense Electro Dance Music-feels, which actually is real Dubstep. I was surprised that you put this song as the last song of the album.

Ishihara: It’s not where we sing a YuiKaori-like song which everyone might think of and it goes into a “happy end”, but rather even we were surprised by how we needed more challenges for a new thing (laughs).

──Not only that, the title is “Juu-oku (Billion) Carat”, and the lyrics are declaring things such as “One day of the Billionaire heart” and “Hey, Be a Bright GEM!”, you put a blast to the listeners, which are the “jewelries”.

Ogura: I feel that I’ve been saying the same thing for quite a while, but this demo song particularly had an impact (laughs). The lyrics, title, and also the sound. “Billion-Carat” is obviously a title for a dance music, but the rules of the rhythm is different with all of the dance music songs we’ve been dancing and singing up until now.

──Electric Dance Music (or EDM) means to reach the peak. Because it keeps the rhythm on the surface of the beat, so the manner of the rhythm is different with Hip Hop, Jazz, and House music which engraves the beat, isn’t it?

Ogura: That’s why I thought something such as “I wonder where should we put a step forward to take into the rhythm?”

When our voices overlaps, I suddenly can see clearly before me.

──How did you settle it?

Ogura: It’ll be an abstract explanation though, but we tried to search something like the link between the cool part which could show how YuiKaori is, and the cool part which this song has. At first we snuggled up to this sound, we sang it in quite a serious way, but somehow it didn’t feel right.

Ishihara: I think I’ve already talked about it, but with our characters, we couldn’t show “The sexy older women who runs a club” (laughs). (Reference: YuiKaori “NEO SIGNALIFE” Interview).

Ogura: That’s why I tried a lot of trials and errors, but when I tried to change it into “Let’s genuinely enjoy this new rhythm a bit, like kids”, my impression of the song suddenly changed by itself, and I was able to sing it into a YuiKaori-like EDM very smoothly.

Ishihara: Thus, because Yui-chan has finally found her way to ‘YuiKaori-like “Billion-Carat”’, it made me a bit at ease (laughs).

──You felt at ease?

Ishihara: As for me, I kept thinking about how to show the cool YuiKaori-like way, I was really troubled by it, but it was Yui-chan who did the recording first. At the chorus, there’s a part where I need to sing in unison with Yui-chan, but when I heard Yui-chan’s voice that was recorded first, it made me think “Ah, it’s okay to sing just like I thought” and “So it’s okay with the cool YuiKaori-like I’ve thought of”. It’s not like we talked about “Let’s sing it like this, okay?”, but the way we think of it was the same. That’s why, the moment our voices are mixed together, I felt that I was able to see clearly before me.

──It’s not about the friendship we’re talking about before, but you really are able to communicate with each other spiritually, aren’t you? You also previously said “You don’t know why, but you know everything about Ogura-san” after all (Reference: YuiKaori “Ring Ring Rainbow!!” Interview).

Ishihara: Ahahahaha (laughs). The me at that time, I was close to not saying anything, wasn’t I? I really don’t know why, but I know if it’s about Yui-chan.

Ogura: For me as well, to know something such as “If it’s Carrie-san, I bet she would sing like this” or “I bet she would act like this” is a normal thing, when you said something like “you can communicate with each other spiritually”, in contrary, it made me surprised. But even though we were able to try a lot of new things for this album, it still ended up being a YuiKaori-like work; I guess it’s because we’re in unison, or so I thought.

I can’t believe we actually reached three years. I have always been known to procrastinate on everything until it dies, but this is the very first time I’ve had an interest on something this long that I was able to keep two blogs (YuiKaori one and this), alive for the past three years (and a year for MTT!) I’m really grateful to the small circle of people that looks forward to our ever so inconsistent releases.

I think we’ve released more scanlations than videos in the past year. We want to release more videos (*coughradiogardencough*) and more scanlations (more Tamamusi, hell yeah!) I’ve been doing well so far with regular translations but the radio garden videos are still a major burden with a lack of typesetter, but I wish that the other half of the year would go well for radio garden. 

With that, Ojitan, here’s to three years of derping and rowing gays. Thanks for keeping up with my whimsical personality and going along with my derp plans in life. I’m glad to be seeing you again this year for a YuiKaori live! Let’s have fun this year as well~

A message from Rurei!

Howdy, Rurei here!

3^rd Anniversary!? Unbelievable!!! To actually forget about our own website’s anniversary…I’ll do a hara-kiri! (No, I won’t). Yes, we actually forgot about it. If I didn’t check my email and found the anniversary notification from Tumblr, maybe we just let it pass without doing anything (LOL).

2016 ended in a flash, even faster than 2015! To be honest, I can’t remember what we’ve done for the entire 2016. All I could remember is that more money flew away from my wallet. Also last year I did say that I wouldn’t be as active as before, but we did release some doujinshi and original works translations, right! Please bear with us because both of Seiyuuri Duo are moody human beings-/slapped

And with Sound! Euphonium season 2 happened, we’ve come to take a liking to Tomonya a.k.a. Tomoyo-chan a.k.a. Kurosawa Tomoyo and her partner Chikape a.k.a. Anzai-san a.k.a. Anzai Chika. Thanks to whoever linked Kumiko and Reina’s “I want to be Special!” Radio! Their radio and niconama are pretty interesting, we started to ship them while everyone raged of the sinking ship KumiRei (By the way, I’m still sailing KumiRei ship no matter what you say. I like their chemistry, okay. Call me delusional, I don’t mind LOL).

Not only that, Seiyuuri Duo actually planned another crazy trip to chase the gay this year! Yes, we’re planning to go for another YuiKaori Live! I hope we can meet new people and show them how passionate YuiKaori’s overseas fans are!

With that, Onee-san, thanks for bearing with me up until now. Let’s release and enjoy a lot of things together from now on, too! To everyone who has been following us on these three years, thank you very much! Please take care of us this year as well!

First of all, congrats to Satsunyan and Rurei for 3 years of this site! Spreading gay is their real test, gay spreading is their cause ( ͡- ͜ʖ ͡-) It was a fun year to spend with the Seiyuurians; it’s always nice to see them online, discussing gays while I’m in meetings While 2016 may not have been the best of years, it was marked by many gay anime/seiyuu activity, accompanied by Seiyuuri duo losing their sides. They’ve been hard at work, staying on top of YuiKaori’s blog posts (and imagining them on top of each oth-) I hope y’all YuiKaori fans enjoy~As for Radio Garden, we now have ways to make timing faster, but we’re still in need of a typesetter to get things off the ground. Btw, last year at “idol field” in my profile (Seiyuuri ofcourse), I didn’t know any of them, so I had studied about idol and then I realized they’re truly truly gei ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), I had my oshimens too (❛ᴗ❛人)

Hello~ Satsunyan here.

I never would’ve thought I’d be managing a website that turns two years. I’m that type of person who never keeps an interest with something for more than a year, especially at “maintaining” as site. I’m that one lazy person who jumps from one thing to another. However, I guess, doing something with someone sure helps in keeping the motivation up! Especially if it’s something that the two of you are passionate about!

In 2015, I met a lot of people and hired helping hands like Nick-kun, Bin-chan and Souhi-chan who keeps me on my toes with them Radio Garden updates that Ojisan and I should catch up with! (Good news! I might upgrade my PC soon, so please expect something within 2 – 3 months or less! Depends on my luck, really!) They’ve been helpful, funny, and we all get along well sharing the same passion for Love Live. I hope that once we’ve reached the threshold that is the end of Radio Garden (tears), I hope that we would continue to get along, and maybe by some twist of fun fate, get together and maaaaybe do some Aqours-chan videos as well, how about that? *wink wink*

A lot of things happened in 2015 with Rurei-chan. Crying about whether we will get visa, crying about burning money for that Happy JAM, ChanYui album and not being able to go to ChanYui’s first live in July. We cried together about many things, especially when YuiKaori are being too gay and they cannot keep their hands off each other -/slapped. Rurei-chan, thank you so much for always bearing with my derp ideas and well, with all my derp. Let’s get along this year and continue releasing more things in 2016 as well!

To everyone who follows/followed/will follow Seiyuuri. Thank you so much for always trusting us with your opinion! I’ve heard a lot of people say that they don’t trust any source unless it was from Seiyuuri. Thank you for always trusting us, our news, and our content! Howdy, Rurei here. Many things happened in 2015, and we reached our second anniversary! Congratz, congratz!

2015 passed so fast, I could only remember about spending too much money on goods, especially on the-OTP-you-know-who *uglysobbing*. I’m not focusing myself into Love Live! anymore, but it doesn’t hurt to help with the translations. I still like it, don’t worry, don’t worry! *Maki-chan mode*

I spent my days listening to seiyuu radio and tweeted interesting info I found using my personal account. And sometimes stalking other people’s twitters for live or release event reports. I think 2015 was the time I’ve really became a ダメ人間 *laughs*.

December 2015, things happened to my family so I was kind of busy with that. It was really tiring, both physically and mentally. I was going to cancel my trip to Japan, but then things went better and I could go. January 2016, Seiyuuri Duo went to Japan! (although Onee-san went earlier than me)
We finally went to YuiKaori’s live! It was my first time going overseas, to Japan, and first overseas live. I met some people and they are all so kind. Thanks to all Japanese Saibaigakari (YuiKaori fans—which we call ‘YuiKaori Family’ now. Girls why. lol) who were so kind to meet us just to greet each other and get surprised that both of Seiyuuri Duo are women (lol). Thanks to our Ishihara Kaori who mentioned us overseas fans!

Anyway, let’s stop this diary-like thing. I’m sorry. This year, I don’t think I can be as active as before (as if you’ve been so active last year), because I need to take care of some things. But I’ll do my best to help more for the releases, so more people will know about Seiyuuri!

Onee-san, thanks for bearing with my stubbornness. I hope we can go for another live again together, and long live Seiyuuri!

Hi hi I’m Bin (・ω・)/

First of all, let me congratulate Seiyuuri on our 2nd anniversary, time has passed so fast! Congrats! Congrats!! ヾ(≧∇≦*)ゝ

Before joining, I thought that “Hmm, they’re so damn gay, why no-one translates their gei conversation? (about NozoEli radio garden)”, I searched for English translation and found a website named seiyuuri.wordpress.com, but there were only episode 1 and 2. Therefore, it made me curious and went to their twitter account for MORE (I want MORE!!! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)). Since then, I became their stalker. I looked forward to NozoEli radio garden translation every Sunday. After a few months, I saw their status about looking for a timer, so I applied for this position. Fortunately, in February 2015, I was able to join Seiyuuri. At the beginning, in our first conversations, my whole body felt shaky and I was a bit scared (This was the first time I worked with foreigners). But from time to time I realized that they’re so friendly and funny ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). I love them all!

The most difficult thing as a timer is that I don’t know Japanese so I’ve made some mistakes, but I still love my job! In a period of time, I was busy with my school project and couldn’t time any episode, I’m sorry about that… Fortunately, it’s nearly our Lunar New Year so I’ve got a plenty time for timing, no worries! I hope that together with Seiyuuri, we can sub all the gei garden radio left for you, and for us too. It’s too bad that NozoEli Radio Geiden has ended (sob sob), so after all geiden upisodes, maybe we’ll do some Aqours’ videos? I watched a video that they announce anime this summer, they’re so adorable! (/∇＼*)

Anyway, we still need plenty of your support to complete it, please cheer us up more! Thank you so muchhhhhhh ヾ(*ゝω・*)ﾉ

Congrats on Seiyuuri turning 2!

I don’t really know when I joined Seiyuuri… It probably started when I was dragged into the LoveLive! Hell, and fell into the black hole known as NozoEli. I realised “Hey, they have a radio show and I can’t understand what they’re saying!! Damn!”, and stumbled upon some lovely live tweeting of translations of each radio garden episodes from Seiyuuri. I probably also poked my nose in to try to translate small LL related stuff as well. Eventually I saw their post which indicated that they were looking for a Chinese translator for Radio Garden, and after much hesitation, I decided to stop lurking and just go for it. The only regret I have about this is hesitating that much.

At the start, I was a little nervous and apprehensive talking to Ojis- Rurei, and Ossa- Satsunyan, and terribly nervous because it was my first time doing translations for anything out of school. Both of them were really nice and welcoming, and it was really nice to meet others who had love and passion for translating gay things. :^)  Thank you for your hardwork, correcting any mistakes I had, and helping me to learn more! To the Seiyuuri team, let’s continue to work together!!!  ٩(`･ω･´)و

I hope we will still get along even after the gay garden radio translations are done. And yes, Aquors translations too! I am excited about all of these potential plans!! hs(´Д｀* ≡ *´Д｀)hs

2015 was a busy but fulfilling year, I actually got a job (which eats at my time, spirit, and soul), and even with more adult responsibilities flooding in (laughs and runs away), I will still do my utmost best to help Seiyuuri churn out more gay content!  (ง •̀_•́)ง

Congrats Seiyuuri on 2 years of gay seiyuu goodness!

I only recently discovered Love Live! in March 2015, beginning with the anime. My first impression of the LL! seiyuu was through Satsunyan’s tweets and translations about Jolks’ gay radio antics ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). One of many reasons why I love LL! is the fact that the seiyuu are as interesting and lovable as the characters and I wouldn’t be so deep in this hell if it weren’t for Seiyuuri introducing me to them.

When Seiyuuri started the Radio Garden subbing project, I wanted to help with it in any way I could. Allowing others to experience Jolks in English is a cause I wanted a part in. Unfortunately, I wasn’t very confident in my timing and it wasn’t until September that I applied for the job. Listening to Jolks so often, paying close attention to each line, makes them even more endearing. The Seiyuuri team is also great to work with, so I would be happy to continue with Aqours content after we’ve reached the end of the Radio Garden line ;_;.

To Satsunyan: Thank you for pulling me further into LL! hell and for being a warm and kind friend. You’re a pleasure to work for and if there’s a project I can help with in the future, I’ll be on board! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

To Rurei-chan: You may work more on the YuiKaori side, but our passion for gay seiyuu is the same! Please continue moving Seiyuuri forward through its next year! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

I was sitting on the second floor’s first row, on Yui-chan’s side of the stage. This time I was sitting beside someone who was also very familiar with idols. The tension was so hyper active, we cheered with all our might.

It started from “PUPPY LOVE!!” and “Kimi ga Sekai de Sekai wa Kimi de.”

It seems that “Wake Up!!” has been replaced with “Kimi ga Sekai de Sekai wa Kimi de.” Since we were still unprepared during Nagoya Performance, having the set list out, we were able to prepare even the colors to use, it was really hyped up. This was the very first time I was able to hear such loud and energetic calls.

MC Corner. The topic became “Osaka’s hype is amazing~” talk.

K: The hype of “Kimi ga Sekai de Sekai wa Kimi de” is Osaka-like, isn’t it? It makes you hyper, and the song is fun and enjoyable. It’s similar to Osaka’s atmosphere, isn’t it?
Y: See, everyone’s hype is amazin’, ain’t that it? Ain’t it?

A sudden switch to Kansai dialect? (It sounded more like Kyoto dialect though) The hall fussed about it.

Y: Carrie-san, now that you’ve been to Osaka, how is it?

K: Since we started from Nagoya, they have a really different atmosphere, don’t they?

Y: During Nagoya, we were really nervous, but since this is the 2^nd Live already, I suppose we’re going to be okay? We would like to show everyone our growth since then. I want today to be something that you can only enjoy when you’re in Osaka.

From here, they’ve started asking everyone “Where did you come from~?”

Y: If we have someone who is definitely sure that they came from the farthest place, raise your hand!

Whether is it true or not, it is definitely not impossible, there are people here who came from Hong Kong. They also did “Men~?” and “Women~?” calls, and the two of them were impressed by the amount of females who came. Compared to a few years back, they sure have increased up to now.

Y: It seems like there are a lot of different genders who came today.

Mm!??!/ fuss… fuss…

K: Isn’t it, people who came from different places? (laughs) It’s of people who came all the way here to see us, right?

I will go to anywhere you two go!

Pajama PARTY Corner

This time’s challenge is, “Party Cake Challenge.”

The Rule is 1 person gets 120 seconds to do the challenge, with a total of 240 seconds (or 4 minutes) to finish one cake. If they can do it, they will get a wonderful present.

Y: We will be doing Nininbaori~

[Translator’s Notes: Nininbaori or “Helping Hands” is a comedy act where two people wears a haori (a large coat) and pretend to be one hunchback person. With one being the face and the other pretending to be the hands.]

Me:!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Th- the Nininbaori which I’ve only seen in my dreams!?!?!

Even if they said Nininbaori, it’s just the two of them wearing a fluffy poncho (?) together though. First batter is Yui-chan who will be fed with the cake. Yui-chan’s breasts looked a little more obvious [T/N: Sitting up straight], I wonder if it was Kaori-chan’s turn to be fed it felt the same as it looked like… I’m kind of worried…!?

In-front of Yui-chan there was shortcake and 3 other small pieces of cakes. (※Of course they put it them in a way where Kaori-chan can’t see them.) And then, the Staff secretly changed the short cake with a cake with a lot of large fruits on it. Yui-chan made an expression that seem to have said “I think I can do it,” but it suddenly changed and she made a sound, “Guuuhh~” like a stray puppy. Kaori-chan asked her, “What’s wrong?”

Challenge Start.

With the fork being in the opposite place, the cake fell onto Yui-chan’s knee, even though the cake had started to look bad [in form], they only did nothing but decrease the amount of cake. However, seeing Yui-chan with cream around her mouth, our life span has shortened incredibly. As a result, since not everything was eaten, the challenge failed.

They changed positions, this time its Kaori-chan’s turn to be fed.

By Yui-chan’s protest, it has become just a short cake again. The moment the first bite went into Kaori-chan’s mouth, a friend said “It’s the first bite…” and I reacted “!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” to it.

Even though it was already time’s up, Yui-chan still continued to put cake into Kaori-chan’s mouth, as expected they were stopped and the challenge was a failure.

Y: It’s the bad adults’ fault for doing something so unfair in the first place!!

Y: Unfair, unfair, unfair, unfair, unfair!!!

With their vehement objection, the rule changed to “If the two of them can finish one cake, the challenge is successful!”

Retry.

A cream covered Yui-chan was full of excitement, I will never forget it. Finally, with the tattered cake on top of the plate, Yui-chan scoops them all up and puts it all of it into Kaori-chan’s mouth. “Carrie-san, just eat all of it like this!!!” and the challenge was successful.

The box of the wonderful present was put in front of them.

“One, two—!!” They opened the box’s cover together, and suddenly their facial expressions turned serious, then they suddenly closed the lid. Pulling theirselves together, they opened the box again, and its contents didn’t change. The wonderful present was a whole cake. I thought it would be that (lol)

Then we could hear them complaining from somewhere. “We don’t need any more cake~!” “Ice cream would’ve been nice!”

Really, this clip has taken all of my energy away, Yeah.

At first I had been screaming, “Dangerous, dangerous!” King Records-san please put this in the BD!

After that danger-filled VTR, it’s solo corner.

After “Tinkling Smile” has ended, Yui-chan opened a topic, “Recently, there’s something I’ve been really thinking about.”

Y: Actually, I wanted to try doing a part-time job.

Eh~~~~!?!?!?!?!/

Y: Eh~? Why does everyone react like that? (^^;) There was a time when I was doing acting jobs as a child, there were always only my lessons and the jobs that I attend every day, after thinking about it, I realized that I never experienced a normal job. Since even now, I go to school, after that, I go to work then once I go home, I sleep. It has always been like that. Like, everyone around you does part-time jobs, right? That’s why, even just once in this life time, I want to try it.

Even if you don’t do it, it’s okay!/

Y: Even if I don’t do it, it’s okay? Do you really not want me to do it?

Don’t want! (nod) / What would you like to do?/

Y: A part-time I want to do?

A Nurse?/

Y: A Nurse!? That’s not a part-time is it? (laughs) Don’t want~ It’s scary to be a nurse I can’t do it~

A Maid!! /

Y: I want to become a maid! I really want to do it! I really want to work in the trade in services industry, so I want to work in a place like a café.

Although I do want to see Maid Yui-chan, but these [customers] are not extras. She would have to deal with real customers, it makes me worried. She will be meeting people that she has never met before. And when the overly worried otaku causes a stir…. “I’m only here for one day,” and then Yui-chan will shy away. Maybe that would make otaku hold back.

Y: Alright, I’ve reached a conclusion! To give up trying to work normally! I don’t have that kind of free time after all, right? (^^;) If I were to get a project that is kind of like that, I would definitely want to try it. Become a Maid-san, it sounds good! I will tell the adults about it. It’s nice when you can do something you like, isn’t it? Making your dreams come true. Everyone do your best too, okay? With work, or with school, if everyone does their best, it makes me happy as well.

She said that she has never worn maid clothes, but I feel like she has done it for gravure before. Was it just my imagination…?? If she really hasn’t worn one before. If they asked in their Seiyuu Animedia Serialized corner, “YuiKaori’s Hamster☆House.” They would definitely give them permission to do so.

The second song to Yui-chan’s solo part was “Hatsukoi Maze.” YuiYui drawing a heart during the chorus [of the song] was really cute, wasn’t she? It seems that the set list for this part is fixed. I at least expected them to change one song.

Following is Kaori-chan’s Solo Part.

Since everyone has had hyper activeness since Nagoya live for “Sunny Ray Beam!!” this time, everyone synced and jump right at the end part.

K: This is Osaka, isn’t it? And if you say Osaka, it’s MBS, right?

Magi!!/

K: That’s correct too. I, right now, am a radio personality in an MBS Radio Program. Can you hear me out?

Ye, Yea~!!/

K: Thank you… (laughs) Yoiko’s Hamaguchi-san, Arino-san, Yoshida Terumi-san and Minamisawa Nao-chan asked me to do though. I will say “Oretachi” and you guys will reply with ○○○○！Alright? Oretachi~??

Gochamaze!/ (Only a few people said it.)

K: After I say “Oretachi” please say “Gochamaze!” (small voice) “Oretachi~???”

GOCHAMAZE!!!!!!!/

K: Perfect~! The Gochamaze members suggested to me, “Why don’t you try this in your live?” With this, I can report its success proudly~

I only listened to the first episode of Gochamaze! After that is… I’m sorry. (^^;)

Although it is a really interesting radio show, one episode is an hour long it becomes painful to listen to. Since I got used to 30minute radio shows after all. I suppose the people who would have time to listen to that are the Kyaorisshu… People said that this [call/response] would happen in an MC, so I somewhat knew what to do. I suppose this is an Osaka-only kind of thing.

K: I have this rule with myself that I would re-watch Digimon every time I get a long break. Although I was only able to watch 1 episode yesterday… Episode 37!! “Sparkling Angewomon, Perfects Attack Together!!!!” (Trance)

Me: So you are the type of otaku who remembers sub-titles….

K: Ever since I was a kindergarten, I’ve always loved this episode where Angewomon evolves~

Me: Uwaa~

K: I was so nervous yesterday, I couldn’t sleep, and I thought that if I watched Digimon, I would calm down. At like 1am.

Then, after I watched, “I will do my best!!” were my thoughts!!

That’s not good, Ishihara Kaori-san. It’s… eh… (lol)

Would always re-watch, remember sub-titles, has a favorite scene, and then hurriedly speaking, watching at midnight, no matter how you look at it, it is the signs of an otaku. I do understand however.

It hurts for me to see whenever the otaku personality and the idol appearance overlap each other, so it would be nice if you can stop that~ (^^;)

The next song for Kaori-chan’s solo is “Shiny Blue.”

It might’ve been better if she sang a cover of Digimon’s OP (lol)

I felt like “Ah~” it’s because she has said something like this before. (lol)

PARTY PRESENTS Corner

YuiKaori bought souvenirs from a general store to give away as presents for the Osaka tour. (I’m not very certain of the store name, but it should be “AWESOME STORE” Harajuku, Omotesando.) A pizza shaped magnet, a nabe grip with an unusual shape, sunglasses, a dog jumping out from inside it designed mug there were a lot of things. Meanwhile, Yui-chan found a small portable stove which was on the frying pan corner.

Y: I can play as a mother. I’ll play as the mother~!!

K: I’m home~ Mama~ what are we having for dinner today?

Y: Welcome home~ Today is pizza~ (Then she put the pizza-like object into the frying pan and flipped it).

K: Eh… with a frying pan!?

After the clip’s, opening MC.

K: When you say Osaka, isn’t it this? (Doutonbori Glico Neon Pose).

She said that as she went down the stairs with that pose.

And with that, Kaori-chan emerged as the winner. Since she won, she will now do the Glico Neon imitation with all of her power, while behind her Yui-chan played as the LED (in-charge of making everything sparkly). Moreover, Yui-chan knew so well that Glico Neon has changed into an LED. I wonder if someone told her about it.

After the Digimon talk, playing house, Glico and then adult (?) talk, they performed “Yubikiri Calendar.” No matter how long it would’ve been, I felt like this kind of song-hype would always fit the two of them. No matter what year it would be, I think they would still be childish with all of their power. Even though they would still become adults and a few things would change, without a choice, it feels like they would still go back to being like this [a little childish], like a “promise” with [singing] this song.

DANCING PARTY

No matter how many times I’ve seen it, I still get goose bumps. It seems like my friend took a liking for it too. And even said I wish “NEO SIGNALIFE” MV would be something like this too.

Dance Part is “VIVIVID PARTY~” changed to “Attouteki na GO!!” since last time (Nagoya). It would be nice if they can change this song again in the last day of the concert.

They repeated “MIRRORING DESIGNS.” I’ve started to really like this song and its dance. It’s fun! That song is good, NEO SIGNALIFE is good, and it seems like they’re coming closer and closer to being a full idol. And then after that, I asked my beloved friend “How was the new song?” I wanted to hear the response. “It is kind of Hello!Project-ish. It was the best.” I wonder if Ookubo (Kaoru)-san was involved in NEO SIGNALIFE.

Dance Corner’s Opening MC.

Y: Wasn’t the PAJAMA PARTY video clip interesting? That was really mean. They changed the cake right in-front of me!

K: When you went “Hmm~” I thought that something must be up. Since I’m behind you, I couldn’t see a thing. Speaking of that, being behind in those clothes is really hot isn’t it~? Even though the adults did something bad, in the end we were able to pull through, right?

Y: When a human is cornered, they really do show an amazing power, don’t they?

K: I thought that we should do all our best to get the prize, but it ended up still being cake.

Y: That’s done on purpose, wasn’t it?

K: If that wasn’t on purpose, they seriously have a bad personality, don’t they? If they thought they really thought about it and it ends up like that.

Y: But it was fun!

K: It makes you want to do it again, right?

Y: Since I really like doing comedian-like acts. I want to try bread eating contest!

K: Me too!

Y: Like in a quiz game where if they got the answer wrong, a person who is on top of a slippery stand will be put up higher and higher, for example.

K: Or a balloon gets inflated.

Y: Or the slimy thing!!

Ooooohhh!??!?!/ fuss fuss

Please make a sports meet or quiz game in the Cross Ange event. Mishi* is good at those kinds of things, right?? When the “inflating balloon” talk came out, my friend said “Isn’t that from Lyrical Party!?” (lol)

During “Our Steady Boy,” to hype the audience, Yui-chan’s bazooka’s faced over our side although I anticipated it; it fired all the way to the 3^rd floor. That bazooka, even though it’s small, its firing power is really strong (^^;). By the way, it seems that it contains signed balls.

When the “LUCKY DUCKY” single was performed, it really was striking! When I heard the live version, it was really enjoyable! The part where they say “Wai-yai-ai! (HEY!!)” The whole assembly hall was in unison.   While during the “Zenryoku zenkai de go, go!” part with the arm going in circles choreography, it’s really fun, I love it. Just watching it is really nice.

Before Encore MC.

Y: Today, while we were in the bullet train, I was really excited! Although it’s the second live for our tour, I thought “Why don’t we make it the best live, this time?”

K: Since the Nagoya live has ended, next is Osaka! Every time I think that, I couldn’t wait for the week to end, nonetheless I had no choice but to wait for it to come! The whole ride in the bullet train I was really cheerful! We ate Sujata Ice cream. Even though it was morning! Yui-chan was having vanilla, while I was having green tea. To be able to perform in Osaka that I like very much, it’s all of everyone’s support that allowed us to be here. I couldn’t be thankful enough.

Y: Oh that’s right, when we first went to the goods area [for this live]. We did a salesgirl-play, didn’t we? And then we asked the Staff-san to take photos of the goods for sale. I was looking at them in the dressing room. There were a lot of people lining up even though it’s so early in the morning. Everyone was looking forward to, today too, huh~? I’m glad that we were able to convey that feeling as well, it made me really happy.

K: The staff-san said “Everyone’s lining up properly…” right?

Y: Everyone, thank you for behaving in the lines properly.

K: I’m really having so much fun right now. I don’t want it to end.

Y: Let’s do about 2 more lives?

K: But it’s about time for them to remove the props. They would start removing the stage behind us while we’re still performing. (Laughs)

Y: Ahahaha~ From now on, please continue to support YuiKaori!

I suppose the MCs in Nagoya were better? But in terms of video clips, Osaka wins. I don’t think any other clip would beat that Nininbaori video.

It was really easy to watch from the front of the 2^nd floor’s aisle side. There was a lot of space to jump and move, my friend’s tsukkomi to my actions were really interesting. It was amazing. I had a lot of fun!! Out of all the lives I’ve been into, this definitely goes into the BEST 3!

There’s only one more live left.

In Makuhari, I would be with 4 Ogura-kenmins; even right now I’m already very excited! (*^_^*)

Although we are called Seiyuuri, a combined name of Seiyuu and Yuri, we only ever post about YuiKaori and Yuri in the blog. We don’t even do regular blogging, but thank you very much for staying with us! We plan to keep on holding onto Seiyuuri for this year as well, so please continue to support us.

With that said, let’s start with the derpy messages from the duo, since Satsunyan is old, let’s start with her.

 Hello, it’s Satsunyan! Most of you might probably know me as that fanfic writer from the 48 Fandom, or that fanfic writer from Fanfiction.net named Satsuki Takahashi, or that derpy person in twitter with the handle @satsu_nyan, that’s definitely all me.

I met Ojisan in twitter and talked, and figured that we both like translating and sharing. During that time I was in the middle of creating a blog that is centered around Love Live and µ’s Seiyuu. However, Ojisan wasn’t very into Love Live that time, and then at the same time we were both getting into YuiKaori… since we have the resources, with Ojisan being rough translator, and me being the jack of all trades master of none. (Oh, btw, Ojisan is Rurei-chan if you don’t know.)

And thus, the µ’s blog was turned into an anything-goes Seiyuu + Yuri blog. We’ve released a lot of videos and scanlations and that makes me happy! I can finally contribute to a fandom that I love! I’m also glad because such things has gave fruits into my life. I met a lot of good people in the same fandom, and I’m very much enjoying myself! Ah~ There really are good people in the world, huh?

I’m well aware that most of my works (cleaning, typesetting for scanlating, and subbing in general), are pretty much mediocre. I do not aim to be a pro on both, however, learning more about them would benefit me a lot and would make me happy. If you know of anything that we could improve on, translation-wise, technical-wise, please do not hesitate to reach out to us! We’re always looking forward to improvements, and of course help is pretty much welcome!

Thank you for being with us, I promised Ojisan I will make a block of text, so I actually did. It has been a nice year with everyone who follows Seiyuuri (and nzer_jolks twitter as well!) Please continue to take care of us in 2015 as well! よろしくお願いします！

Next is Rurei-chan!

Good day, Rurei here. Most of people calls me Rurei. You can also call me Ojisan (or maybe only Onee-san—Satsunyan—who calls me like that). DameNingen [ダメ人間]  is my current twitter name (because of that, most Japanese on twitter had an awkward time to call me).

Onee-san told me to prepare some words for this first anniversary, but I’m really not good with words. Also, my grammar is bad (that’s why I put Rough Translator on my profile).  All I can remember is that since mid 2013 I’ve been listening to Ore no Imouto Radio. I don’t know how I ended up keeping YuiKaori’s compilation video and forgot about it until early 2014. I was originally Onee-san’s  silent reader since 2012 (Yes, I was on 48 fandom back in 2011), then we finally talked on twitter and rowing some OTP boats since then.

I only understand Japanese but didn’t know at all about subbing nor scanlating, so I’m really glad that I met Onee-san (thanks for all the hard work until now). I want to get better in both Japanese and English, so doing this kind of work is like a practice for me (heck, my parents calls this useless because it doesn’t give me money). I’m really happy that I can spread the love like this, despite of having the Unlimited Dead-Revive Works, money keep flying away from my wallet, and some other hardships—wait, are those even called as hardships?
