NozoEri Radio Garden is a radio show sponsored by Animelo Mix in collaboration with the Love Live school idol project! It’s hosted by two personalities, Nanjou Yoshino who voiced Ayase Eri and Kusuda Aina who voiced Toujou Nozomi from Love Live’s μ’s (Read as: Muse). Let’s refer to Nanjou Yoshino as her well-known nickname “Nanjolno” or “Jolno” and Kusuda Aina shall be referred to as “Kussun” as how most people and fans addresses her. 

The intro started with them derps talking about the first day of their three-day long weekend. Kussun said that she just sleeps on holidays, never-ending sleep. LOL Jolno says that it’s such a waste of a day so Kussun asks her (Nanjou-san, still Nanjou-san!) what she does. She says she plays, eats, plays and sleeps… and Kussun tells her that she does the same. And Nanjolno asks if she does anything more active, Kussun says she goes out to walk her dog. Jolno says that she does photography so Kussun says that some day she should take photos of her dog. Nanjolno responds with an, It’s okay but… Kussun just went and Yay’d. LOL Then Nanjolno concludes it with a fail joke saying; “We are that’s hikikomori.” And Kussun just responded with a weak, 「はい…」 LOL. And of course they didn’t forget to greet the people who turned 20 last year for their Coming of Age Ceremony.

Jolno mentions that it’s their second episode~ Kussun says that she was nervous of the first one that she forgot what happened on that episode. LOL

N: We were so nervous we went home together.
K: We did.
N: On the train.
K: We went out to eat too!
N: That’s right, we did!
K: That’s right.
N/K: It was delicious!
N: Let’s go again sometime.
K: Okay!
N: Eh? You’re really going with me?
K: Yes.
N: You said “Okay,” just now, right?
K: Yes. Today too, let’s go today too.
N: Really? Okay.
K: If we have time.
N: Ah, yup. Isn’t that imposing so much on you?
K: No, no, no, no. I have a lot of time so it’s okay! (時間たっぷり！)
N: Really!? Let’s go then.
K: Okay!

First corner for this episode are mails! Futsuota, I guess. (Most radios have the Futsuota corner, it’s basically a corner of fans sending mails with questions in it.) The first mail is about the wrapping train. The mailer said that they saw the train and rode it and took a photo of it. After that they went to it again and managed to meet other Love Livers and was happy because of it. Nanjolno says that people tweeted her photos of the train in twitter. Kussun says that her friends gave her photos of the train as well. They both haven’t seen it. LOLOL.

The second mail is about the year’s abundance. I think it’s about something that you want to achieve within the year. Kussun reads the letter and says that the two of them will announce their abundance of the year… starting with Nanchan. (Now it’s Nan-chan! LOL) She tells the story about her bad-looking wallet. The leather is falling apart and apparently people have been telling her that it looks dirty. LOLOL Kussun agrees that she did see it and that yeah. She also says that the same for her, it’s also her wallet for her. And she has used it for almost 10 years– well maybe not cause she doesn’t usually use her wallet. Nanjolno tells her that at least the leather isn’t falling apart. LOLOL And then they started putting apart their wallet. Party. LOL. Then Nanjolno started raving about point cards, net banking and how convenient they are. Nanjolno replace your wallet, oi! LOL. And then the conversation started going to how you usually don’t use point cards. I agree. One does not simply use a point card to… purchase stuff. Wait, they’re really useful for CDJapan though! -/shot. And the conversation ended that if you forgot there’s just… no points. LOL.

Muse’s first song is Bokura no LIVE Kimi to no LIFE. Apparently before Muse, they were just called LOVE LIVE! And that the characters didn’t have names and whatsoever. I didn’t know that. Now we all do. LOL

Next corner is NozoEri’s Voice Garden this is where they’re given a situation for their characters and they read out lines in their character’s voice towards the listeners. This episode’s theme is “Winter Break”. They need to tell them encouraging words since school is going to start again soon so they should do their best!

N: Winter break is really dangerous you know~ Unexpectedly, right?
K: That’s right.
N: Me too… when you say Winter Break… I had this one thing happen to me. My first job after the break was a recording. And the whole winter break I didn’t… talk at a–
K: You should talk!
N: I should’ve talked right?
K: But I do understand that.
N: And then during the recording my voice wouldn’t come out. So I just thought that it was surprising.

But then there was Kussun LOL.

K: Well there are just time when you accidentally ditch because of it.
N: EH!? What is that? Is this story okay?
K: Well when I was a student, I thought that the day for the opening ceremony was tomorrow, so I didn’t go.  But it ended up that it was that day. I over extended by vacation.
N: Something like “Eh where’s Kussun?” something like that. That doesn’t happen.
K: No way.
N: That doesn’t happen at all.
K: Well… I guess there are just times like that.
N: Well that’s like spacing-out on a vacation, right?
K: So everyone be careful, okay?

LOLOLOL. Anyhow, Ericchi’s message is about telling you that you’re awesome and that she’ll be cheering you on! And that Kussun says that you should not make a mistake on when it ends! LOLOLOL. And then the random Nozomi nicknames starts. Today, Nanjolno calls her ‘Non-chan’. And Nozomi’s message is about giving you lucky power! Nanjolno says that it’ll be nice to receive Lucky Power from Nozomi.

N: Lucky power would be nice.
K: That’s right.
N: It’ll be nice if something nice happens.
K: There will be. In 2014.
N: THAT’S LIKE— THAT’S LIKE— SAYING THAT NOTHING GOOD HAPPENED IN 2013.
K: It’s just that there will be better things compared to 2013. Like you can go out this year or something!
N: I am inside the house but–It’s not like 2013 was a sad year or something~!!
K: But there will be good things this year!

It was full of laughter. What am I even translating here. LMAO Did I even get those correctly. LMAO.

Anyhow, next corner (A new corner apparently) is Asking the Student Council President for Favors~ So the mails are about asking Eri and Nozomi, Nanjolno and Kussun about different situations. The rules are if something really unreasonable came into the mail– “I will not recognize it” will be the answer, to be said by the Student Council President, Ayase Eri (Nanjolno) (This is Ericchi’s infamous line from the anime, “I will not recognize it.” Mitomerarenai wa or みとめられないは！) And then if something good comes– “That’s great!” will be the answer from the Student Council Vice President. (This is pertaining to Nozomi’s Kansai Dialect saying “That’s nice!” or Ee yan! ええやん！).  So they will either judge the letter’s given situation as, mitomerarenai wa or ee yan! Let’s just use these terminologies cause… yeah. LOL

There’s a lot of them so let’s just discuss the interesting ones in this corner. A mailer said that they want to go to a Spiritual face and do Spiritual things. The two said that it’s a good thing, and that the best place would be Kanda Miyoujin and then suddenly…

(A forgotten promi– wait they didn’t promise. LOL)
K: What about something like Takigyou? (Takigyou is Waterfall Meditation)
N: I want to try that! You’ve done it before, right?
K: Yeah, I’ve done it.
N: How was it?
K: I was glad I did it. Even though I felt like I was gonna die. (LOL)
N: It’s hard to breathe or something?
K: Yeah… I couldn’t breathe.
N: I want to try it!
K: Let’s go! In a location! If it’s not summer might die under it. (LOL)
N: Let’s do it! In summer… okay?
K: Let’s go in summer.

The next mail asked them to think of what would they bring for lunch if NozoEri went out to eat for lunch. They said that it’ll be a bentou. From Eri it’s definitely Russian Cooking, Pirozhki, Borscht and stuff. Non-chan would definitely be Yakiniku. Such expensive lunch. LOL Then they started adding like Sweet Sake and… borscht forever. LOLOL And that was the end for this corner. Next corner is information corner and like before we will 10/10 skip it.

And now it’s time for the ending~ They talked about how they look forward to more interesting mails for the new corner and– someday do a recording outside. (YES VIDEO SPECIAL PLS LOLOL) And that was it for this episode~ I thought this episode was kinda boring, but after looking at how much I wrote, it was actually a little interesting. The intro usual starts with freetalk or small talk between the two voice actresses. For this episode Nanjolno asked Kussun how much mochi she puts in her ouzoni. Kussun answers that she puts 3 and Nanjolno says that isn’t that too much? Kussun answers that they’re the small round ones so they’re okay. She then follows up what do they put in their zou and Kussun answers that it’s probably soy sauce or something from the tastes of her mother and Jolno agrees, she puts 2 mochi btw. Then she starts explaining what kind of mochi they were, Kussun teases her if they are “Kuro Hampen” a grey sardine cake from Shizuoka. Nanjolno is from Shizuoka. Then Nanjolno explains that the mochi is rectangular almost the size of an iPhone. So they end the intro conversation with wanting to eat mochi now and greeting everyone a new year.

Then Nanjolno was going Rabu de Raibu~ (love for live) because that’s kinda the point of the radio lol. Jolno-san pls. Nanjolno asked what animal year was it and Kussun answered with Horse. This was followed by her asking what year Kussun was born and she said she was born in the year of the Snake. Nanjolno continues by saying that she thought they were the same year but they’re not. Kussun told her,  “Please think of me as a younger sister.” LOL.

They pointed out that the radio has become a Seitoukai (Student Council) team radio. Since Nozomi and Eri are both members of the Student Council. Nanjolno asked Kussun what kind of radio show she wants it to be and Kussun answered that she wants everyone to have fun in this radio. This was aired a few weeks before their 4th live. Then they introduce their duet song, “Garden of Glass” (Garasu no Hanazono). They didn’t discuss it much. Probably because it was too gay -/nuked.

Then proceeding onto the first corner: NozoEri’s Voice Garden this is where they’re given a situation for their characters and they read out lines in their character’s voice towards the listeners. This episode’s theme is going to Hatsumoude (First Shrine Visit of the Year), meeting together with you on the shrine, with an atmosphere that you don’t want to change, the characters will tell you one line about their feelings.

N: Are you serious… Well… do you go to Hatsumoude?
K: I do. Every year.
N: Every year!
K: Recently I went to Kanda Miyoujin. (This is the shrine that’s often seen in the Love Live anime series).
N: Eehh! Amazing! … People don’t recognize you?
K: No, not at all!
N: But there are a lot of people.
K: But because I don’t have an aura–
N: What are you saying…
K: I’m like–really– just a commoner.
N: That’s not right! But then, people don’t recognize me either.
K: Eh?!
N: They don’t at all.
K: That’s amazing! But the clothes you wear are recognizable?
N: I cover with eyeglasses and a cap. Or like I’ll post that I went to Shinjuku in twitter but I actually went to Shibuya! But sadly, I was really just at home. (LOL)
K: Me too I do that quite often.
N: Then it’s okay.
K: Yup.
N: It’s fine if they recognize us!
K: Yeah! It’s not like we’re doing something suspicious! (LMAO)

Then Nanjolno started joking about giving people who recognize them a Spiritual power injection. lololol (A reference to Nozomi’s catchphrase, ‘Nozomi pawaa tappuri chunyuu hype shoot!’)

Promise #2 (This will be explained on later episodes. LOLOL)
N: I want to go this year. On this year’s hatsumoude.
K: Let’s go, this year.
N: Yeah.
K: Together.
N: Eh? Really?
K: Yeah.
N: Eh, you’re really inviting me?
K: Yeah, I am.
N: Really?
K: Yup.

But then they’ve already went and taken fortune. So they will probably do it on the following year. And both hope that everyone got nice fortunes. Then they proceed on towards the character lines.

Ayase Eri: Happy New Year! Akemashite omedetou! Seeing you first thing on the New Year is a really good thing. Please take care of me this year too, okay?

Nanjolno then explains that that was quite kind of her. It’s as if she was very embarrassed. And then Kussun told her that it was nice and that it wasn’t in Russian (since Eri is part-Russian). They then proceed to Non-chan‘s spiritual message. Since I’m not good with kansai-ben I won’t be able to translate it accurately. She basically wished that you will definitely have a nice year filled with a lot of kind people. Kussun then questions if Nozomi actually gave out that kind of aura, and Nanjolno tells her that she does. LOL. She actually does. Then the corner ends. It proceeds to the next corner that is of reading letters.

The first letter was asking Nanjolno and Kussun about what kind of School Life did they have when they studied. Jolno just hurriedly went home and drew. Then around highschool, she got a computer but she always uses it way late and her parents usually gets mad at her. So they put a phone line in her room. So sometimes they would pick it up and notice she’s still using the computer and scold her, but because of it she became good at typing. Kussun says that she’s bad at typing and Jolno recommends she go to chatrooms. LOL Then in Kussun was in Kendo Club during Middle School. Jolno said that as unexpected and asked if she was strong. She wasn’t. LOLOL But since there were’t enough shinai (kendo sticks), she was usually strong when using them but didn’t grow stronger because there weren’t enough for all the members. Jolno proceeded to ask if she went MEEEENNN! (What Kendo practitioners shout when aiming for the head) and Kussun said she did. Jolno gave her a muchaburi (something unreasonable) and asked her to say MEN! On air. She did. It sounded like she lost.

K: Hey.
N: That sounded like you lost.
K: It was like that before!
N: Why are you being a gyakugire (getting angry at the wrong person)
N: Angry? （おこなの？）
K: Angry!　（おこです！）
N: You got angry!
K: Angry!
N: I’m sorry~ （ごめんね～）

That was cute. LOL The next mail said that Toujou Nozomi’s favorite food is Yakiniku. If she went to a Yakiniku store what meat would she order? The mailer said that they will order shioharami. Nanjolno said that between motsu and hormon, she will not eat hormon. Kussun said that she’s bad with hormon compared to motsu which Nanjolno agreed to. Kussun said that she will eat tareharami, since she prefers it over shioharami. Then Jolno said she’ll get chicken. But Kussun reasoned that it’s a yakiniku shop and Jolno said that chicken is meat! Indeed. LOL Then Nanjolno said that if yakiniku didn’t have rice it will be weird– then the tension got weird. Went to next mail. LMAO.

The next mail asked about what moment in their life recently do they think is Harasho! Kussun immediately said that the radio program starting was harasho! Jolno said she was obsessed recently with putting soy milk into black tea. She drinks it so much from the morning and the evening, it was harasho. LOL. Then Kussun asked if she wants to do it at home too– she bought some soy milk but apparently didn’t have tea leaves. LOL Then she randomly asks if Kussun’s house is beautiful. Kussun answers with it’s a so-so. And since they just moved, it has been a bit better now. Before they cleaned things up it wasn’t pretty. LOLOL Jolno then asked if Kussun likes washing clothes. She said she didn’t. And she said “That’s right, that’s good!” LOL found a don’t like washing clothes companion? LMAO

Next mail asked if the two of them were to go overseas, where would they want to go to.

N: I’d like to go to France, Paris’ Notre dame’s Cathedral.
K: Aaahhhh, that’s so spiritual.
N: Wait, wait. That’s making my head a bit…
K: That.. It’s that…
N: That…? Kussun are you okay?
N: Well even though I was just spacing out in front of the TV, I saw the cathedral in the TV when they were shooting the ceiling I suddenly snapped out of it.
K: That’s spiritual!
N: I just suddenly felt like I learned something about my life.
K: Wasn’t it like voluntary?
N: Voluntary? Who am I? Something like that?

Basically Nanjolno felt a little bit taken in by it and so they both wanted to go and see it. Then Kussun said that she wants to go to Germany and watch Soccer. She’s a big fan of Soccer. She wants to watch an exciting game.

N: When I was a student I really had this soccer player who I liked a lot. He became a pro.
N: Then I saw him in his agency, then I wanted to shout and congratulate him but I was too shy to
say anything so just from afar I congratulated him. I wonder if I could have changed something then.
K: Something might have changed then!
N: Something changing… probably not. If only I had such courage back then.

LOL Nanjolno-san what is that! Then after it was information corner, since this is old information are old too. LOLOL Then directly into the ending part. Of course the Nanjolno asks how it was and Kussun answers with “I had fun… hahaha” with literal hahaha on it. LMAO. “Ahaha~” “Ahaha~” The two of you pls. LMAO Then that’s the two derps of NozoEri in their own radio. Thanks for reading until this point! I’ll try to catch up with until the 19th (the most recent one) but it’s a long way. LOLOL

N: … a lot of different segments and such, as long as the love livers (what love live fans are called) are having fun and be able to talk with them, then it would be a nice radio show. That’s what the excited me thought!

N: Eh!? But it’s my true feelings! I’m so embarrassed I’d like to disappear right now.
K: A-ah~ So cute.
N: Eh!?
K: Anyway!
