The Love Live! Seiyuu, Nitta Emi has commented regarding the recovery of her vocal cords in the latest episode of her radio (Episode 30).
Below is the quoted script from her radio (starts around 3:10):
Um… I took a break from twitter around the end of March. Does everyone remember?
Actually, during that time, my throat has been hurt since a long time ago, then I started taking medical treatment for my vocal cords. Then~ After that, I took a break from work for two whole weeks.
And~ the truth is, the surgery wasn’t really a major one. Um… I wasn’t given anesthesia nor my throat was cut open. Um~ Well~ It was the kind of surgery where they just inject something straight into the vocal cord nodule.
Hm~ I couldn’t speak for three days, and for about a week, I could only let out a whisper voice, but thanks to that, the nodule was almost gone. Um, what should I say? I used to have a husky voice whenever I talk, but I was able to get back the original potential of my voice.
Uh~ Right now I have completely healthy vocal cords, and~ I’m back to work.
And so, although I think, I made a lot of people worry, I got permission to take a few breaks. I’ll do my best at work with my very healthy vocal cords, so please take care of me from now on too.
It seems that she’s now well and very healthy. She might need to take a break for a little while longer for the full recover of her throat, and soon she will be the energetic Hono-Emitsun we’ve always known! ╭( ・ㅂ・)و ̑̑
Everyone, please wish her well!
Special Thanks to Cowboy-san for giving a heads up to this wonderful news!
